Abstarct: Abstract Since long ago, coal has been one of the most important sources of energy supply, and in the future this source will continue to be one of the most important. Coal mining is one of the most important issues that mining engineers are involved in. Most of the world's coal mines are extracted using underground methods, and our country is no exception. Underground coal mining has always been associated with many risks, one of these hazards is the coal-gas outburst, which can cause irreparable damage to facilities and human resources. Gas outburst can be briefly defined as a certain volume of coal that has been subjected to gas pressure, tectonic stress and geological effects, at a certain time when the strength of the coal is lower than the applied pressure, gas outburst occurs and a huge amount of coal is thrown and piled into the drilled tunnel in a fraction of a second to several seconds. In this master's thesis, an attempt has been made to simulate this phenomenon by means of a gas outburst device simulator and to compare the tendency of different seams to compare and to have Extensive studies on the behavior of coal. To perform this test, three coal samples collected from two different mines were used. The laboratory operation was carried out under the same conditions for all three samples to compare the behavior of the samples. The value of pressure P1 (gas pressure) considered for all samples was equal to 1.5 bar, pressure P2 (earth srtess) was equal to 1.5 bar and pressure value P3 (gas drainage) was considered -0.1 bar. After performing the outburst test in the same conditions mentioned on the samples, the output information was collected and behavioral analysis was performed on the output. According to the information on the launch angle of each sample and the distance passed after launch by each sample, it can be said that the greater the launch angle is in relation to the vertical line from the outlet of the device, the greater the distance passed by the coal, or in other words, The greater the intensity of the coal sample launch from the outlet of the device, the larger the sample launch angle, and as a result, the distance passed by the coal increases. Considering the direct relationship between the three factors of launch angle, launch intensity and the distance passed by the sample, it is possible to compare the tendency to outburst in these three coal samples and also predict which coal sample has a greater tendency to outburst than the rest of the sample. According to the mentioned contents, the three launch angles obtained in the laboratory for three samples K1, K2 and K3 are equal to 60 degrees, 78 degrees and 86 degrees, respectively. By obtaining the launch angle, the amount of distance passed by each coal sample can be calculated using the tangent of the launch angle. For this purpose, the distance passed by each sample K1, K2, and K3 were calculated as 2.25 meters, 6.11 meters, and 18.6 meters, respectively. By comparing the launch angle and the passed distance of the samples, it is possible to compare the tendency to outburst between the three seams and thus predict which seam's tendency to outburst is more than the other seams. By comparing the numbers and figures obtained for all three samples, it can be said that the tendency of K3 seam to be outburst is more than the other two seams. It can be concluded that by using this method, it is possible to compare the tendency to gas outburst between seams and check the tendency of each seam to outburst.
